Getting bangs is one of the easiest ways to change your look without committing to a whole new haircut. However, to keep your fringe looking its very best, you need to know how to style and maintain it. We have five easy hacks to help you figure out how to do just that!
1/ Use dry shampoo
Many people find their bangs get greasy before the rest of their hair. To get ahead of, well, your head, spritz your bangs with Advanced Hairstyle BLOW DRY IT Longwear Spray in the morning on day two. The dry shampoo formula will keep your hair looking fresh and will stop your bangs falling flat or separating more than you would like throughout the day.
2/ Blow-dry your bangs first...
As soon as your bangs begin to air dry even just a little bit, the strands are already starting to set in their natural shape which might not be the shape you want. To stop this from happening, blow-dry your bangs immediately after stepping out of the shower.
3/ ...or air dry them the easy way
Sometimes blowdrying just isn't possible and going au naturel is your only option. When this happens, split your bangs in the middle, twist them and pull them out to the sides while they air dry. Don't touch your bangs until they're completely dry to stop them from drying in any and all directions.
4/ Be a commitment-phobe
For anyone who isn't sure about getting a blunt cut fringe or short bangs right off the bat, start with longer, textured bangs and work up to something more daring. You can play around with the extra length to test different parts and side-sweeps, and then decide whether you want to go shorter, thicker, sharper or choppier with your bangs.
5/ Don't skip a trim
When bangs grow just a fraction too long, they can start to behave weirdly or not at all. So, to keep them in shape, get your bangs trimmed once a month or every six weeks at the very least.
