/ 04.20.2015

As a bride-to-be, you want your wedding hairstyle to be as pretty and perfect as it can possibly be, in order to crown a beauty look you'll never forget. To help you decide which bridal style is right for you, we've selected three gorgeous updos, all with accompanying tutorials so you can road test each one before the big day.

1. Windswept updo

How to style it

Step 1

Starting with clean, towel dried hair, apply Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT Volume Inject Mousse and rough-dry.

Step 2

When the hair is about 80% dry, flip your head upside down and complete the blowout in that position. This will lift the hair at the root and create a lot of extra volume.

Step 3

Once dried, spritz your hair with Advanced Hairstyle BOOST IT High Lift Creation Spray and muss it with your hands.

Step 4

Lift sections of the hair on top and at the crown, then tease with a fine-tooth comb to add a little extra height.

Step 5

Gently gather your hair at the back and twist and pin it into a chignon. For an intricate finish, work in small sections, twisting and pinning pieces on top of and around each other until it's all up.

Step 6

Pull a few small pieces of hair loose around your face and finish with Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray.

2. Chic bun

How to style it

Step 1

Apply Advanced Hairstyle BLOW DRY IT Thermal Smoother Cream to damp hair and blow-dry, using a paddle brush to keep each section of hair straight.

Step 2

Once dried, use a flat iron for any further straightening if necessary.

Step 3

Brush the hair back and section off a piece of hair on each side of your face - about 1 1/2" to 2" wide. Leave these pieces hanging forward while you work on the rest.

Step 4

Tie the rest of your hair into a ponytail, pop a bun maker insert over the pony, and pin the lengths of the pony around the insert until it's all covered.

Step 5

Take one of the sectioned pieces at the front, wide the ends around the bun and pin. Repeat on the other side.

Step 6

To tack down flyaways and eliminate frizz, complete the look with Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Bold Control Hairspray.

3. Sleek side bun

Step 1

After blowdrying, part your hair deep on your favorite side with a tail comb.

Step 2

Spray your hair with Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Iron Straight Heatspray and straighten in sections with your flat iron.

Step 3

Using a boar bristle brush to smooth your hair, gather everything into a low ponytail on the opposite side to your part.

Step 4

Pop a bun maker insert over the pony and pin the lengths of hair over it until it's all covered.

Step 5

Complete the look with Advanced Hairstyle SLEEK IT Iron Straight Heatspray to add shine and get rid of any flyaways.
