For the brides-to-be who are currently working out their wedding day hairstyles, we have something to tell you: you don't have to wear an updo! Seriously. In fact, loose hairstyles can be just as pretty and, depending on how you style yours, can make you feel a lot less exposed (i.e. more comfortable).
Check out our top tips below to help you pull off a beautiful down 'do on your big day!
1/ Be selfish
It's your wedding day and therefore you get to have everything you want, right? Right! This includes a hairstyle you love, but one that also feels really good while you're wearing it. For some people, this could be poker straight strands and a statement accessory, for others, it might be tousled waves and a flower crown, defined curls, or a cute half-up style.
2/ Stick to what you know
On your wedding day, you want to present the best possible version of yourself, not some bridal vision that bears no resemblance to you or your own personal style. So, if you usually wear your hair curly, straightening it all might not be the best idea, and vice versa. The trick is to polish up your trademark look to make it special, while ensuring it remains recognizably yours.
3/ Practice
Even with loose wedding hairstyles, it's always a good idea to trial your chosen 'do at least once, if not multiple times, before you tie the knot. That way, you'll know exactly how it'll work on the big day which means zero stress the morning of! Also, it gives you time to change your mind or make a few alterations if you need to. Practice really does make perfect!
